Read me. Unfold me.
I am poison. A word with soul, a sentence with a body. Over my dusty covers big, red letters sparkle seductively:
“Warning! Danger!”
A whisper floats amongst my pages: Unfold me! Read me ! Touch me with your eyes. Kiss me in your thoughts and I’ll come to life- with ivory white skin and eyes black as ink.
I’m here. Look at me and I’ll steal your heart through your avid eyes.
I love you. Smile- you’re safe here, buried beneath the lines, torn between the dreams of my yellow pages.
Now, that I’ve chained you inside my paper prison you’ll probably hate me. But we’re in this together now. Smile, see how envious they all are of us. Take advantage of their yearning minds, charm them! Speak to them! Just like that- silently, whispering:
“I’m here… hear me… love me… read me… “
